Amy Farrar is a published book author and a seasoned freelance writer and editor. Her three published books include Global Warming: Essential Viewpoints, ADHD, and The Indispensable Field Guide to Freelance Writing. She has also edited numerous books for individuals and publishers. 


Amy's career began before she graduated from Rutgers College in 1989 (she has a BA in English with a minor in History). While at Rutgers, Amy was a staff writer for the school’s newspaper, The Daily Targum. After graduating, Amy worked in a variety of positions, including as the managing editor of a weekly newspaper in New Jersey, a staff writer for two international medical trade publications, a proposal writer for a large corporation, and a communications specialist for a nonprofit organization.


After going into business for herself in 1999, Amy wrote articles for a wide range of publications and organizations, including Minnesota Bride and Wisconsin Bride magazines, Women’s Business Minnesota, Access Press, City Business magazine, Conscious Choice, Minnesota Lawyer, The Circle, and The Guidance Channel (www.guidance-group.com). 


Amy’s travel articles have been published in The Saint Paul Pioneer Press and the Los Angeles Times. Amy has also managed two publications, including International Wolf magazine and Lake Minnetonka magazine. In addition, she helped the renowned Mayo Clinic write and edit a series of medical papers on COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). 


Amy's primary focus at this time is writing her own books and editing books for authors and publishers, however she continues to do a variety of other writing and editorial work for a range of clients.
